Commission billing mode
Optional Bumi subscription model where fees tie to order volume and performance rebates (platform-configured). This is not the commission % paid to third-party delivery marketplace apps (DoorDash, Uber Eats, etc.). See Merchant channel terminology.

What it is
- Alternative to flat subscription billing for eligible plans (monthly only).
- 8% on pickup/delivery order subtotals until the plan monthly cap.
- Advanced plan features unlock when the cap is hit or after a qualifying performance rebate cycle.
- Card on file required at signup (SetupIntent); commission is collected at each cycle end.
- Performance rebate uses the same infrastructure as fixed billing, with rolling payout as the default for Malaysia commission billing.
Rolling rebate timing (default)
When rolling is enabled on the org’s PerformanceRebateConfig:
- Each billing month is evaluated on qualifying pickup/delivery orders (from month 1).
- After the month ends (~5-day audit), a qualifying month earns a rebate split 50% / 30% / 20% on calendar months +3, +4, +5 from that earn period.
- If you hit the target every month from month 1, first credit lands around month 4; stacked months reach ~50% → ~80% → ~100% of one month’s plan fee.
- Credits apply to your Stripe customer balance as each installment becomes due.
- Customer platform fees are never rebated.
See the canonical doc: apps/saas2/docs/COMMISSION_BILLING_PERFORMANCE_REBATE_LOGIC.md.
What merchants should know
- Dine-in / in-store orders do not accrue subscription commission.
- Months 1–3: commission is collected; rebate accrues but cash credits start ~month 4 (rolling default).
- Missing the order target in an earn month forfeits that month’s rebate; you stay on pay-from-sales unless you switch or are auto-converted for consistently low performance.
- You can switch to fixed monthly billing at any time; plan limits stay the same.
